This device adopts ABB’s latest power system protection algorithm and industrial embedded hardware architecture, supporting seamless integration with power grid SCADA systems, DCS platforms and intelligent monitoring systems. It can independently complete main differential protection and multi-type backup protection functions for transmission lines, and supports optical fiber networking and multi-station data synchronization. Product Functions

The ABB RED670 integrates comprehensive power protection, precise measurement, intelligent control and network communication functions, covering full-scenario protection and monitoring demands of industrial and power transmission lines. Its core line differential protection function supports 3-set or 6-set CT signal access, achieving ultra-fast differential fault judgment with a typical operating time of less than 16ms, which can quickly isolate line short-circuit faults and avoid large-scale power grid accidents. It is equipped with complete backup protection logic, including multi-stage overcurrent protection, distance protection, earth fault protection and out-of-step protection, forming a multi-layer safety protection mechanism for transmission lines. The device supports 48-channel digital input and 24-channel relay output, realizing real-time collection of substation switching status and intelligent control of circuit breaker closing and tripping. In addition, it supports mainstream industrial protocols such as IEC 61850, IEC 60870-5-103 and Modbus, enabling high-speed data interaction and remote monitoring with upper management systems. It also integrates fault recording, event logging and waveform analysis functions, providing accurate data support for power grid fault troubleshooting and operation optimization.

The device adopts a wide temperature design, stably operating in the range of -40°C to +70°C, and is resistant to harsh environmental factors such as high humidity, dust and electromagnetic interference in substation sites. It supports HSR network redundancy and IEC 61850-9-2LE process bus sampling, realizing high-reliability redundant network transmission and improving system communication stability. The 19-inch standard rack-mounted structure facilitates standardized cabinet installation and later maintenance and replacement.
