Description

Product Overview

The GE H201CI-1, also designated HYDRAN 201Ci-1, is a single-channel gas monitoring controller from the GE Vernova HYDRAN 201i transformer condition monitoring portfolio. It works as the operator interface and signal processing unit for one H201Ti intelligent hydrogen transmitter, delivering early warning of incipient faults in oil-filled power transformers.

Housed in a weatherproof enclosure for outdoor deployment, this controller replicates and extends the transmitter’s local functions, including real-time gas concentration display, alarm indication and analog signal output. It also serves as an access point to build a monitoring network of up to 128 H201Ti transmitters via serial communication. Widely used in utility and industrial power systems, it supports predictive maintenance and extends transformer service life.

Core Product Features

  • Digital LED display shows dissolved hydrogen concentration from 0 to 1999 ppm for clear at-a-glance status reading.
  • Standard non-isolated analog output, jumper-configurable as 0–1 mA, 4–20 mA, 0–1 V or 0–10 V to match SCADA and DCS input requirements.
  • Optional second isolated analog output with 1500 V RMS isolation rating for segregated control and monitoring systems.
  • Dual gas alarm thresholds (high and high-high) trigger on level, hourly trend and daily trend conditions for layered fault detection.
  • Integrated fail alarm monitors power loss, communication interruption and sensor malfunctions, with outputs forced to zero on system fault.
  • NEMA 4X rated weatherproof enclosure supports direct outdoor installation on transformer yards and substation sites.
  • Single RS-232 communication port enables local configuration and networking of up to 128 transmitters across a site.
  • Front-panel alarm buttons and status indicators simplify on-site operation, acknowledgment and diagnostics.
