  2. Software Compatible: Hardware interface is the same, but program re-download or firmware upgrade is required.
  3. Hardware Modification Required: Wiring modification, terminal replacement, or rack adjustment is needed.

✅ Drop-in Replacement (No Modifications Required)

  • TRICONEX 3623T → TRICONEX 3623T-R
    • Differences: Industrial reinforced version, enhanced anti-interference performance, and extended service life; all other parameters are fully compatible.
    • Note: Firmware version ≥ V3.2 is required; old firmware versions can be upgraded directly without additional operations.
    • Price: Approximately 16% higher than the original model.

⚠️ Software Compatible (Reconfiguration Required)

  • TRICONEX 3623T → TRICONEX 3624T
    • Differences: Enhanced data processing speed (improved by 40%), added fault self-diagnosis function; hardware interface is consistent with the original model.
    • Steps:
      • Export the engineering file of TRICONEX 3623T.
      • Create a new engineering file for TRICONEX 3624T in the configuration software.
      • Import the original engineering parameters and recompile the program.
      • Download the compiled program to the new module and restart it.
    • Workload: About 0.5-1 day, depending on the complexity of the program.

❌ Hardware Modification Required (Not Recommended)

  • TRICONEX 3623T → TRICONEX 4623T
    • Reason: It belongs to a new generation of product lines, with different rack specifications, terminal definitions, and programming environments; it is not compatible with the original hardware and software.
